In the U.S. there  are about 250-300 million cell phones that are being used. For every two people there is a cell phone that has a grand total of 3.3 billion cell phones that are in use. 30 African Nations have more cell phones than landmines. 1,000 cell phones are activated at each minute.
Americans only use their cell phone for 12 to 18 months before replacing it with a new model. FDA says that accoridinly that cell phones doesn't propose health hazards. They do have some low levels of radiofrequency energy but yet there's not any proof that shows the level of Radiofrequency produced that shows health issues.One person can take reduce the risk by using the handheld hands free device that suddenly reduces the small amounts of RadioFrequency that the user of the cell phone is exposed to. In Michigan many say thatg about 83% of people think that having a cell phone makes life a whole lot easier. Cell phones contain metals such as gold and silver. 500 million cell phones being weighed are estimated at about 250,000 tons that are stockpiled and waiting for disposal. The Candmium that is in the battery of the phone can contaminate 600,000 gallons of water that can be enough to fill a third of an Olmypic sized swimming pool.
